School Acknowledgement to Country
We acknowledge the First Nations People from this land where we live, learn and play. We appreciate the land and the resources it provides us - the animals, the plants, the waterways, and the environment that we walk on today. We show our respect to the Kombumerri people and Elders. We thank them for caring for our land and Country. We promise to take care of it with the same sense of responsibility, love and kindness to ensure that it is still here for our future generations.
School Upstander Pledge
We explicitly teach daily the importance of being an upstander. It is important to our community that students know and understand that being a Mudgee learner is to be a Mudgee Marvel.
I am a Mudgee Marvel.
I have the power to influence my peers.
I say something or do something when you need help.
I am there for you.
I will help you get the help you need.
You are not alone.
I have your back.
I am an Upstander!
The four core values that are interwoven into our positive school culture are safe, respectful, responsible and learner.
School Song
Mudgeeraba State School was relocated to Old Coach Road in 1981 and during this time a school song was written. The lyrics reflect our pioneering history.
Long ago the pioneers cut cedar in the hills with bullock drays and clinking chains they hauled it to the mills. Townsfolk joined together and sharpened up their tools, they sawed and hammered until they built the first Mudgee school.
Chorus
Mudgeeraba State School "Mudgee" for short, we excel in studies in music and in sport, Mudgeeraba State School red, white and blue, we're 'dinkum' Aussies through and through, we're 'True Blue'!
We've been in many places, new buildings come and go, the spirit of the pioneers just seem to grow and grow. Help you mates, take care of them and always do you best, that's the way to build a school that's better than the rest!
Repeat chorus
With honesty, integrity we forge on from the past, we blaze new trails, achieve new goals strong traditions last. We're proud of our achievements, let's tell the world out loud, that Mudgee school is number one, we stand out from the crowd.
Repeat chorus
