Classrooms
Mudgeeraba State School’s open plan, learning environments provide for flexibility in the delivery of curriculum to students. Double teaching spaces, all new innovative furniture, internet access, wet areas, folding walls, withdrawal rooms and outdoor learning spaces provide teachers with a variety of options for student learning. All classrooms are fully air conditioned. Learning environments include student computers, interactive whiteboards, kitchens, computer labs, library, science/technology centre, performing arts hall, multi-purpose courts, full sized oval and swimming pool.
Our P&C association has supported the air-conditioning of classroom spaces and specialist areas so that students can learn in comfortable environments all year round.
Classrooms vary in organisation and presentation. As classes undertake units of work teachers create learning environments that reflect important aspects of the unit. Displays celebrating student work and supporting student learning are evident in all classrooms.
Our classroom furniture, both inside and outside, is state of the art and enable classroom teachers flexibility in the way furniture is arranged and used for learning in our classrooms.
Hall
We are excited to now have our very own performing arts hall. This hall has provided a venue for many school and community events. It has state-of-the-art sound systems, lighting, technology, kitchen, staging area and furnishings.
Science technology centre
Students are able to participate in hands on experiments in our purpose built centre. The centre has a large storage area for science equipment and additional storage areas for Information Communication Technology (ICT) equipment. The storage facilities provide immediate access for teachers and students to resources that enhance learning and understanding. The centre is used for a large variety of whole class, small group, specialist and extension group exploration and learning.
Swimming pool
Mudgeeraba State School is fortunate enough to have its own swimming pool.
Swimming lessons occur through out Term 1 and 4 as part of student learning from Prep to Year 6.
