Mudgeeraba State School invites students in Years 5 and 6 to bring their own personal laptops to school to support and enhance their learning. To be eligible to participate students must agree to and sign the ICT Acceptable Use Policy and bring a device that meets the minimum specifications to school.
The required laptop specifications are,

- 6 hours of battery
- Intel i3 or AMD Ryzen 3 processor
- Audio jack
- 16GB Memory
- 256GB Storage
- 13" screen size
- 5Ghz Wifi Capability

Our teachers will be delivering learning through a range of Microsoft applications, primarily OneNote. This package is free for all students and must be installed at home prior to bringing their laptop to school. Details on how to install Microsoft Office365 is below,
Parents will determine whether their child is responsible to keep their laptop safe and secure at school. Students must ensure that they keep their laptop safe from damage while travelling to and from school. When using their laptop within the classroom, students must ensure that they keep it with them at all times.
Purchasing insurance is a personal choice. When purchasing a laptop please learn about your options to purchase accidental damage protection. Ensure that this covers your child's laptop for accidental damage on and off the school site. All insurance claims must be settled between you and the insurance company.
